Planning your project with a promotional merchandise supplier
One shared brief for marketing, HR and purchasing
When equipping a team, marketing may choose the artwork, HR identify the recipients and purchasing approve the budget. Bringing these decisions into one brief helps your merchandise partner propose products that everyone can assess against the same criteria.
- Recipients and use: who will receive the products, in what setting and how will they use them afterwards?
- Quantities and budget: give an overall estimate and any planned allocation between teams.
- Required arrival: distinguish the handover date from the date you need the products to arrive for preparation.
You do not need to have chosen your products yet: the project form lets you share what you know and what still needs to be worked out together.
A focused shortlist with each product’s requirements in view
Give each product a clear purpose when comparing proposals. With branded bags, check what recipients need to carry; with branded clothing, plan the size breakdown. These details shape the selection as much as the artwork does.
For everyday office use, drinkware and stationery provide other starting points. Keep a manageable shortlist and explain what is essential or flexible: size, colour, use or quantity. The catalogue is a starting point; feasibility is confirmed for the products you select.
Checked artwork and one consolidated proof approval
A logo that works on a bag will not automatically work on a smaller surface or a garment. Share your reference artwork, brand colours and any wording. Today Merch advises on the branding method for the chosen product.
Before production, ask everyone involved in approval to review the same mock-up or artwork proof. Consolidate changes to wording, placement and dimensions, then nominate the person who will give final approval. An online preview helps communicate your idea; it does not replace this approval.
An agreed scope before production starts
Before starting your merchandise project, check the quote against the approved artwork version: product references, colours, any sizes, quantities per product and branding should match. Separate confirmed decisions from open questions so that a late change does not alter the approved project.
Today Merch handles production, quality control and delivery. For an international destination, specify the country and any receiving requirements in your brief. Transport, optional extras and timing need to be confirmed in your project quote. A free consultation with no obligation provides a starting point when you are still building your selection.
