Frequently asked questions

Quotes, customisation, quantities and delivery: answers to help you plan your project.

Your project

Choose the right products and prepare your brief.

How do I start a project with Today Merch?

You can start from a product in the catalogue, an idea or an open brief. Tell us what the merchandise is for, who will receive it, the quantity, preferred sizes or colours, your budget, target date, delivery address and available artwork. We then check what is feasible and prepare a suitable proposal.

Mention any essential requirements from the start, such as the destination country, food contact, use by children or another specific use. This helps us check the necessary product specifications before quoting.

Can I ask for a selection if I do not yet know which product to choose?

Yes. If you have not yet chosen products, send us the goal: welcome pack, client gift, trade show, internal event, launch or branded collection. We can guide you towards a coherent selection based on budget, expected finish, quantities and the date you have in mind.

Does Today Merch work with private consumers?

Today Merch works with professional organisations: businesses, associations, employee representative bodies, public-sector organisations, and marketing, HR, procurement or events teams. Our catalogue and support are designed for business projects handled through a quote. The website does not offer a shopping journey for private individuals.

What should I plan for a welcome pack that is ready to hand out?

Prepare the number of kits, recipients, any sizes, desired products, cards or inserts, packaging style and target date. If you need kits ready to hand to each person, specify their contents and how they should be grouped, for example by size or recipient.

We review the assembly and packing options for your project. The products, packaging, kit preparation and any shipping need to be detailed in the quote so you know exactly what is planned.

Can I supply my own cards or products for a welcome pack?

Describe the items you would like to include before sending them to us: cards, flyers, products or other inserts, with their dimensions, quantities and packaging. We check whether they are suitable for the kit, along with receiving arrangements, assembly and any costs.

Once agreed, supplied items must be suitable, safe and properly packed. If you also want branding applied to a product you supply, mention that separately: including an item in a kit does not confirm that it can be customised.

How can I check whether a product is recycled, certified or made in Europe?

Start with the product page information: material, origin, certification or environmental benefit when shown. If a criterion matters for your project, mention it in the brief. We then check the available evidence and include it in the proposal when it is confirmed.

Quote & order

Understand quote requests, order confirmation and payment.

Is a quote request free and non-binding?

Yes. Sending a quote request does not trigger any payment and does not commit you to ordering. It simply gives us the information needed to review your project, check products, quantities, branding and possible timings, then come back with a clear proposal.

What should the final quote confirm?

The final quote should let you decide without grey areas. It states the selected products, quantities, variants, branding, options, price, any additional costs, the target date or period and the validity period. You can also read the terms before accepting.

How long is a quote valid for?

By default, a quote is valid for fifteen calendar days from the date it is issued, unless the quote states a different period. This protects the project against changes in stock, supplier prices or transport costs. After that period, we can simply check and update the proposal.

When does my project become an order?

Your project becomes an order when you accept the quote and Today Merch confirms the order in writing. The mock-up or artwork approval then validates the technical finish before production, when it is planned. The two steps are connected, but they do not serve the same purpose.

When and how do I pay?

No payment is requested when you send a quote request. Payment terms are stated in the proposal or confirmation: deposit if planned, balance, due date and payment method. We wait for the project essentials, such as usable files or required artwork approval, before launching production.

Can I compare several products in one request?

Yes. You can compare several products, ranges or ideas in one request. Share the expected quantity for each reference, desired variants, overall budget and intended use. We can then help you choose the most coherent option in terms of price, finish and feasibility.

Pricing & budget

Understand what is included and plan the full budget.

Are displayed prices excluding or including tax?

Displayed prices are unit prices excluding tax. They help you compare products and prepare your project. The final quote then states the total, any applicable taxes where needed, selected options and any separate costs such as transport or packaging.

Is branding included in the displayed price?

On relevant standard products, the displayed price covers the product customised in one position, using the technique and format planned for that page. It does not mean that every technique, area or colour setup is included. “Product only” pages clearly separate the item from customisation, which is then reviewed in the quote.

Which costs may be added in the quote?

Some items may be added to the quote depending on your request: transport, a second branding position, a larger area, a more technical branding method, packaging, storage or a specific logistics operation. We detail these items so you know what is included, what is optional and what truly serves the project.

Why does the unit price change with quantity?

The unit price often changes with quantity because some costs are spread differently depending on volume. The product, branding, technical costs and production constraints all matter. If your quantity falls between two tiers, include it in your request: we will check the most suitable price.

Can the price change after the quote is accepted?

Once the quote is accepted and the order is confirmed, the quote becomes the commercial reference for the project. A price change can only come from a requested change, incorrect initial information, a new applicable tax or cost, or written agreement between you and Today Merch.

Can I give a budget instead of a precise product reference?

Yes. You can share a total budget or a budget per person, along with the number of recipients and whether the amount includes or excludes tax. For a kit, also specify what the budget should cover: products, customisation, packaging, assembly and delivery.

This helps us suggest a selection and balance quantities, products and options. The quote then details the agreed items and their cost.

Quantities & sizes

Choose quantities and plan your size and colour breakdown.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum quantity depends on the product, branding and sometimes supplier packaging. Product pages show the available tiers from the applicable minimum. If you have a precise quantity in mind, even if it differs from the grid, include it in your quote request.

Can I request a quantity that is not in the grid?

Yes. You can request a quantity that does not exactly match the displayed tiers. We then check availability, packaging, branding and the possible price. This is common when adapting a project to a real list of employees, clients or guests.

How do I choose sizes and mix different variants?

You can split an order across sizes, colours or variants when the product and stock allow it. The total quantity must meet the applicable minimum, and some variants may have their own requirements. Send us the desired split so we can check it.

For clothing, consult the size guide for the specific item when available, then ask your team to confirm their sizes. Fits and measurements can vary between styles. If you are unsure, ask us for the available measurements or about a sample before finalising the size breakdown and starting customisation.

Can the delivered quantity differ from the ordered quantity?

The planned quantity is the one stated in the quote. If a difference becomes unavoidable during the project, we inform you and look for a suitable solution: delivery of the balance, credit, refund for missing units or another option depending on the case. Nothing should be imposed without discussion.

Does Today Merch accept small runs?

It is possible on some products, but not across the whole catalogue. The minimum depends on the item, supplier and branding technique. If you need a small run, share your target volume: we will guide you towards the most realistic products.

Can I change quantities after sending my request?

Yes, until the quote is accepted, you can request a correction or a new quantity. After acceptance, tell us as quickly as possible what you would like to change. We will check the impact on price, stock, branding and timing.

Customisation

Choose your customisation and prepare your artwork.

Which customisation techniques are available?

The techniques depend on the product: material, shape, available area, logo colours and desired finish. Depending on the item, we can review embroidery, screen printing, printing, pad printing or engraving. We guide you towards the most suitable technique, then state it in the proposal.

How should I choose the logo position?

The right position depends on the available area, logo readability, product use and technique. When the configurator offers positions, they are a starting point. We then check whether the finish will be clean and may recommend another placement.

Can each product have a different name on it?

Mention this in your request, with the product you have in mind, the quantity and the text that will vary. We check whether the item and branding technique allow individual names, then specify the required files, cost and timing in the quote.

If this option is agreed, prepare a checked list with the exact spelling of each name and its matching size or variant where needed. We agree with you what must be approved before production; share only the information needed for the order.

Can I add a second branding position?

Yes, if the product and technique allow it. A second position needs a separate check: available area, visual coherence, feasibility, price and timing. Add it to your brief or quote request, and we will tell you which option is most reliable.

Mock-up & artwork approval

Check the artwork and finish before production.

What is artwork approval?

Artwork approval is the mock-up reviewed before production. It lets you check the visible elements: product, logo position, approximate dimensions, text, spelling, visual, colour reference and branding technique. This is the step where the final appearance is secured.

Does production start before artwork approval?

When artwork approval is planned, we do not launch the related customisation before written approval. This avoids producing with the wrong logo version, wrong position or visible error. Late approval may move the schedule, because production waits for your agreement.

Can I request corrections to the artwork?

Yes. You can request adjustments to the mock-up before approval. Two reasonable correction rounds are planned unless the quote says otherwise. If the request significantly changes the product, technique, logo or creative direction, we may need to review the price or timing.

Can I receive a physical sample before production starts?

You can request a sample, particularly to check material, colour, feel or fit. Specify what you need: a blank sample lets you examine the item without your branding; a customised sample also lets you assess the planned branding, if producing one is feasible.

A digital mock-up or artwork proof is used to approve the artwork presented to you; it does not replace a physical product. Sample availability, timing and costs are confirmed in the quote. Any refund or deduction from the order must be expressly agreed.

Will the colour seen on screen exactly match the final product?

The colour seen on screen is a guide, but it does not always reproduce the final result exactly. Material, light, screen settings and branding technique can affect perception. If an exact colour is essential, tell us: we will review the best way to secure it.

What should I check before approving artwork?

Before approving, take time to check the logo, position, dimensions, text, spelling, colour references and product variant. If several people need to review it, do so before approval. Once the artwork is accepted, production follows that version.

Lead times & delivery

Plan your timeline and delivery destinations.

What are the production and delivery lead times?

Lead times vary depending on the product, stock, quantity, branding, received files, mock-up approval and transport. We confirm the schedule in the proposal. If your date is linked to an event, mention it from the start so we can review feasibility.

Can you meet a fixed deadline?

We can review a fixed deadline, but it must be clearly approved in the proposal. Give us the context: event, trade show, onboarding, address, handover date and desired safety margin. We will tell you whether the schedule is realistic or whether the product should be adjusted.

Is transport included in the displayed price?

Transport is not included by default in the displayed product price. It depends on volume, weight, address, service level and sometimes insurance or paperwork. We show it separately in the proposal so the full budget is easy to read.

Why is the delivery address important from the brief stage?

The address helps us estimate transport, schedule and logistics constraints correctly. Delivery to an office, warehouse, event or multiple sites is not prepared in the same way. If the address changes after the quote, we will need to check the impact on cost and timing.

Can you organise international delivery?

Yes, international delivery can be reviewed depending on the product, destination and applicable rules. Costs, taxes, documents, insurance and responsibilities may vary by country. Share the exact destination from the brief stage so we can check whether shipping is possible and under which conditions.

Can you deliver to several addresses or recipients?

Yes, we can review delivery to several addresses or recipients. Send the number of addresses, countries, quantities per location, packaging constraints and available data. We can then price the organisation, transport and tracking required.

Can I order now and receive the products in several deliveries?

Include quantities, destinations and your preferred schedule in the brief, for example for several events or new starters joining throughout the year. We check whether staggered deliveries are feasible and whether storage is needed between shipments.

If this arrangement is agreed, the quote or an appendix specifies the duration, storage conditions, shipment preparation, costs and agreed timings. Storage is a separate service that must be expressly accepted; it is not automatically included in an order.

Follow-up & reorders

Request a change, report an issue or plan a repeat order.

What happens after I send my request?

After submission, we review your request: products, quantities, logo, date constraints, availability and options. If something is missing, we come back with a question. Otherwise, we prepare a proposal or a better-suited alternative for the brief.

How is product availability confirmed?

We check availability when preparing the quote. If a product, colour or size is no longer available, we tell you and may suggest an alternative. Nothing important, such as material, colour, brand or price, should change without your agreement.

Can I change or cancel a project after acceptance?

Contact us as soon as possible to request a change or cancellation. We check the status of your order, any products already sourced and production already under way. We then confirm in writing what is still possible, including any costs or changes to the timeline.

What should I do if a parcel arrives damaged or incomplete?

Contact us quickly through the contact page with the project reference, photos, the number of affected parcels and any reservations noted at delivery. These details help us identify the shipment, the relevant batch and the best next step.

What happens if there is a branding or product defect?

Contact the team with clear photos, the project reference, the affected product and, if possible, the approved artwork. We will compare the result with the approved elements and the product constraints. Depending on the case, we will review the most suitable solution.

Can I reorder the same project or request a top-up?

Yes, you can request a reorder using a previous reference, quote, logo or artwork approval. This helps us move faster. We still check stock, prices, variants, materials and lead times again, because they may have changed.

How should I care for a customised product without damaging the branding?

Follow the label, product instructions and any care guidance specific to the branding. Precautions depend on the material and technique: advice for embroidered clothing may not apply to a print, bottle or mug.

Before washing or using a tumble dryer or dishwasher, check that this is permitted for the customised item. If the instructions are missing or unclear, contact us with the product reference or order number so we can check the available guidance. You can then share it with the recipients.
