An employee’s water bottle might stay on their desk or spend the day in their bag. That changes the brief: near a water point, a compact bottle is easy to refill; while travelling, a larger capacity means fewer stops but more weight when full. The right size depends on the day ahead, as much as the product’s appearance.

Carried by hand or packed in a bag

A handle can make moving between rooms easier. For a bag’s side pocket, diameter and height are the deciding dimensions. Inside the bag, alongside a laptop or paperwork, a suitable closure is essential: a cap shown in a photograph does not establish that the bottle is leakproof. That property must be confirmed for the chosen model and its conditions of use.

Easy to drink from, accessible to clean

A narrow neck gives a more directed flow when drinking; a wide opening makes the inside easier to reach for cleaning. A straw avoids having to tilt the bottle, but adds a part to wash. If the drink mostly stays within reach on a desk, tumblers with straws offer another approach.

Insulation has a purpose when someone wants to maintain a drink’s temperature during a journey or a long meeting. It is not essential for every routine, and suitability for hot drinks needs confirming on the selected reference. For takeaway coffee, consider insulated travel mugs too.
